Your AAR staff continues to work toward holding the Annual Meeting in Boston, Nov. 21-24, 2020. We are aware of the uncertainty and contradictory projections related to the COVID-19 pandemic and with health and safety as a priority, we will continue monitoring the guidance of governments and health experts as we plan and make decisions. Should any changes need to be made related to the 2020 Annual Meeting, we will promptly notify you.

AAR-CERP Annual Chaplaincy Conference
Chaplaincy Conference Participants’ Guide to the 2019 AAR Annual Meeting
At the same time and general location that the AAR-CERP Annual Chaplaincy Conference is occurring on Saturday, so too will be another gathering called the “AAR Annual Meeting.” The AAR Annual Meeting is geared toward scholars and draws thousands of attendees to hundreds of sessions. It continues Saturday night through Tuesday morning. There is no expectation whatsoever that you necessarily stay to attend the AAR Annual Meeting, but if you have the time and are so inclined you may at no charge; your badge for the chaplaincy sessions serves as your entry into the regular AAR sessions, as well.

Future Years’ AAR Annual Meetings
AAR Annual Meetings take place on the last weekend prior to Thanksgiving, and the AAR-CERP Chaplaincy Conference will likely take place that Friday afternoon and Saturday.
