Academy Fund Contributors FY2017

AAR Academy Fund

AAR members have generously supported the Academy Fund for more than 30 years. Contributions to the Academy Fund provide much needed support for AAR general operations, travel grants, program support, international initiatives and the International Dissertation Research Fellowships. The AAR is grateful for the continuing support for our programs and thanks you for your generosity.

The online contribution form provides two programs to choose from when making your gift, "Unrestricted" and "Annual Meeting Travel Grants." Choosing "Unrestricted" allows the AAR to allocate your gift where it is most needed.

Annual Meeting Travel Grants

Attending the Annual Meeting, delivering papers, serving on panels, and interviewing at the Employment Center afford valuable opportunities for scholarly development. Yet in recent years, declining access to external sources of funding has made the cost of attendance prohibitive for many who would benefit from these activities. Students, contingent faculty, and the unemployed/underemployed experience this hardship most acutely. If they cannot attend, not only they, but the Academy as a whole suffers from the loss of their involvement.

To broaden participation in the Annual Meeting, AAR has developed a generous grant program to defray costs and make attending the Annual Meeting a reality for members who would otherwise struggle to attend. If you would like to help members in need attend the Annual Meeting, please donate using the online contribution form. Select "Annual Meeting Travel Grants" as the program to benefit at the bottom of the form.
