We are aware of the uncertainty and contradictory projections related to the COVID-19 pandemic and with health and safety as a priority, we will continue monitoring the guidance of governments and health experts as we plan and make decisions. From 1933 to 1936, the flagship journal of the AAR was published twice a year and called the Journal of the National Association of Biblical Instructors. From 1937 to 1966, the journal was published quarterly and the name changed to the Journal of Bible and Religion. In 1967, the name was changed to the Journal of the American Academy of Religion (JAAR).
